As per the CCTV still released by police, the suspect happens to look a lot like David Schwimmer, a.k.a. Ross from the TV show Friends.

The doppelgänger inspired people to comment with Friendsreferences, of which there are about 80,000 comments.

Despite the close resemblance to the '90s sitcom star, Blackpool Police said that it was definitely not Schwimmer.

"We're so sorry it has to be this way," the comment read.
